    Researching the winners of the British Classics

    The members have been hampered by snow and ill health and have stoically managed to maintain a constant group of researchers throughout the seven weeks, never the same four twice. There was a touching response by the members to the treasures they found and a respectful fascination to be using books from so long ago. Everyone has been pleased to be introduced to the Racing Room in Newmarket Library and have been back under their own steam since, which is a satisfying result!

    Seventeen excited participants of 'Everyone's a Winner' project, two Racing Welfare staff members, photorapher Regina Ray and I set off on a coach from The Racing Centre on the 1st February. We arrived at about 10.30 am in Wellingborough and were warmly welcomed by Amy Haxby and other staff where we were offered a welcome coffee/tea and biscuits.     Seventeen excited participants of 'Everyone's a Winner' project, two Racing Welfare staff members, photorapher Regina Ray and set off on a coach from The Racing Centre on the 1st February. They arrived at about 10.30 am in Weatherbys,Wellingborough and were warmly welcomed by Amy Haxby and other staff and offered a welcome coffee/tea and biscuits.
